Basil is an aromatic herbaceous plant characterized by a pleasant aroma and a characteristic flavor. The scent of its leaves, depending on the variety it can be more or less sweet or pungent. It is used for salads, with ripe tomatoes, the courgettes, the garlic, chicken, the rabbit, rice salads, soups, pasta and tomato sauces.
